About Museon-Omniversum

Museon-Omniversum motivates its visitors to adopt an active attitude as global citizens. By inspiring and enthusing to treat our planet with respect and improve it. We share the adventure of searching for solutions to make the world a better place.

From our fascination and love for the earth, we use our programming, knowledge and network to put major global challenges on the agenda and to provide concrete action perspectives for as many people as possible. In doing so, we start from the idea that everything is connected: We are One Planet!

With 'One Planet' as our theme, we work together with the public, schools, government and business to realize a more sustainable future. We will do this by inspiring, learning from each other and working together. We call on everyone to join the One Planet philosophy of Museon-Omniversum and help protect our beautiful planet and everything that lives on it.

In our museum and large-screen movie theater, we show how beautiful and special our planet is: We marvel at our beautiful earth and the interconnectedness of everything. Based in part on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, we interpret the challenges we face together. We are also a platform for all kinds of exciting innovations and initiatives being developed as action perspectives for a better future.

The 17 Global Goals

The United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals, to make the world a better place by 2030, are the foundation. These Global Goals are our framework to tell stories about climate resilience and energy transition, among others. From dealing with water to economic opportunities for all. From reducing inequality to protecting life in ecosystems. And from food security to making cities resilient and future-proof.

From challenges to solutions

With these 17 Global Goals, Museon-Omniversum shows a perspective for the near future. The stories focus on the urgency and topicality of the themes mentioned. They show the challenges as well as the solutions. The stories show the global challenge facing our society. In an appealing, inspiring and challenging way.
