Live Moon Party's and space-activities during the spring break

persbericht

During the spring break, Museon-Omniversum will put the spotlight on our love for the planet. Under the title Love You to the Moon and Back, the museum is hosting a holiday program featuring live planetarium shows, space films and interactive activities for the whole family.

Visitors can experience the “overview effect” of astronauts themselves; by seeing our planet from space you will experience how unique and fragile the Earth is. The program also ties in with the current focus on the Moon, which has been in the spotlight since early February with the launch of Artemis II, the first crewed Moon mission since 1972.

Moon Party’s: live planetarium shows

At the heart of the program are the Moon Parties: live planetarium shows held over several days at 10:00 AM, suitable for everyone aged 6 and up. In these interactive shows, astronomers from NOVA guide the audience on a journey through the universe. Visitors experience the show as if they are traveling in a spaceship: rising from Earth and flying to the Moon, where they can see just how extraordinary our planet is. During the live presentation, everyone is welcome to ask questions.

Space films during the day

In addition to the Moon Parties, visitors can enjoy space themed films during the day, such as Hazelnuts: Searching for the Perfect Planet (ages 4–6) and A New Blue (ages 9 and up). In the museum, guests can explore and discover for themselves. Highlights include a real moon rock, astronaut André Kuipers’ space suit, and a range of activities for the whole family. Children can design their own planet, build and launch a rocket or create a spectroscope to study starlight. With the Heart for Earth activity, visitors end their space journey with a personal, creative gesture of care for our planet and each other.
