About the film

A special voice, an intense presence on stage and a headstrong vision on music. Jeff Buckley leaves behind in a short amount of time an indelible impression. By his debut album Grace he grew into an icon, before he suddenly passed away at the age of 30.

It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley is directed by Amy Berg, known for her earlier praised music documentaries. The movie follows Buckley’s rapid rise and shows how his music keeps resonating until today.

Based on images from Buckley’s personal archives that has never been shown before an open and honest portrait is born. His mother Mary Guibert, former partners, bandmembers and artists as Ben Harper and Aimee Mann share their memories and show who Buckley was, on and next to the stage.

This documentary is not a traditional tribute, but instead a personal journey through music, creativity and loss. For lovers of music, stories behind icons and movies that touch you.
