Eat More Trees

Every year we lose 24 billion tons of fertile soil worldwide. That are thirty football pitches per minute. If we keep farming like we do, than we are literally removing the soil from under our food system.

Eat More Trees, told by actrice Hanna Verboom, shows how things can be done different. We follow the Dutch Yanniek Schoonhooven, who together with her husband in the south-Spanish Murcia is transforming 1.100 hectares of degraded land into regenerative agriculture.

About the film

Together with food-forest expert and regenerative pioneer Lious De Jaeger we travel from the Amazone rain-forest to the European farmlands. We see how trees and perennial crops are making agriculture resilient against drought and heat, and are meanwhile restoring the soil, strengthening ecosystems and are producing healthier and more durable food.
