At Museon-Omniversum, we believe it’s important that everyone can use our website and visit our museum. That’s why we are committed to creating a clear, functional, and highly accessible environment—both online and within our buildings.

We strive to comply with the digital accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1, Level AA). Some sections do not yet meet these standards; these are listed below.

Known issues and improvements

"An external audit has shown that certain parts of our website do not yet work well for everyone. These mainly include:

 

  • Components that cannot always be operated using only a keyboard

  • Images that do not always have a proper description

  • Information that is only identifiable by color

  • Videos that start automatically and cannot be paused immediately using a keyboard

  • forms that lack clear error identification and guidance

We use these audit results to continuously improve our website's accessibility.

Physical accessibility

Our museum building is accessible to a wide range of visitors. 

Our facilities include:

  • Wheelchair-accessible entrance and routing 

  • Elevators to all publicly accessible floors

  • Wheelchair-accessible seating in the Dome

  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets

  • access for certified service dogs
